Healing Sudan
A Muslim Mental Health Guidebook
As we witness the heart-wrenching waves of conflict take place, it has been a collective struggle to process, acknowledge, and take action for our brothers and sisters in Sudan, making the international response minimal. However, it is essential that we prioritize the Sudanese struggle for peace and advocate for an end to the injustice and violence.
Together with the Stanford Muslim Mental Health & Islamic Psychology Lab, we've written a short guidebook that starts with the rich and complex history of Sudan and outlines the impacts of this war on the mental health and wellbeing of the Sudanese people.
We've also included educational and faith-based resources for the community, with a contextualization of the crisis with Islamic methods of understanding injustice in this world.
